NFL 13/02/2022: Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams battle it out for Super Bowl
After a dramatic few weeks, we are down to the final two teams for the Super Bowl on Sunday — the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams. There are plenty of markets for this game, and you can expect fireworks. We can’t wait to see how this one will unfold, so check out our full preview below.
Cincinnati Bengals forced to do it the hard way against the Kansas City Chiefs
For the first time in decades, the Bengals have been crowned AFC Champions. However, they had to do it the hard way to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. The Bengals needed overtime, but they enjoyed some neat little plays to advance at the expense of the Chiefs.
Once again, Joe Burrow proved why he’s so valuable to the Bengals as he posted figures of 23-of-38 for 250 yards, as well as contributing two touchdowns, and one interception. It was a typical all-action display from Burrow, who admitted he isn’t surprised that the Bengals will be playing in the Super Bowl.

Rob Gronkowski drops clear Joe Burrow hint
Although Tom Brady recently retired, many are expecting Rob Gronkowski to follow suit. But Gronkowski has revealed he’d like to team up with Bengals quarterback Burrow if the chance presents itself. He said: “I kinda like this young buck quarterback… It’s Joe Burrow, man.”
Los Angeles Rams looking for Hollywood style ending
The NFL, and in particular the Super Bowl, provides unscripted drama. You just can never tell which team will turn up that day, and how things will play out. In fact, in their previous trip to the Super Bowl in 2019, the Rams succumbed to a 13-3 defeat by the New England Patriots.
Matthew Stafford key to Los Angeles Rams revival
The Rams have previously traded away many future draft picks, and this time they couldn’t fail. The deal to bring back Matthew Stafford was inspired, and they are one game away from creating a bit of history. Although Stafford reached the playoffs three times with the Detroit Lions, this is uncharted territory for him. Stafford knows this is the time to shine.
SoFi Stadium ready to make some noise for the Super Bowl
The anticipation for the Super Bowl is building and, come Sunday, excitement will reach fever-pitch levels. This year, the state-of-the-art SoFi Stadium in California will take centre stage for the Super Bowl. Having opened in 2020, there have been no fans so far because of the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
However, with a full house expected for the Super Bowl, you can expect the atmosphere to be incredible. Indeed, the SoFi Stadium is the first venue in Los Angeles to host the Super Bowl in 29 years. And for Rams fans, hopefully it will be an evening they won’t forget.

Generally, the markets seem to be leaning more towards the Rams to win, and playing at home will certainly help their cause. However, it remains to be seen if they can live up to the hype, and finish off the game in normal time?
Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown still facing a backlash from the fans
What the Bengals have achieved this season has been nothing short of extraordinary. Being crowned AFC champions was one thing, but getting to the Super Bowl also ranks very high. However, after what has been a long journey, there won’t be many fans giving Mike Brown any credit.
Brown has been reviled, because of the way he has, seemingly, run the Bengals on the cheap. There have been a lot of lean years, and Brown has come under criticism for not investing more in the franchise. If the Bengals can defy the odds, it will be a great evening for the fans, but don’t expect anyone to raise a glass to the owner!
