Premier League Betting Preview Casumo

Four title contenders looking for major wins

In our La Liga Betting Preview this week we told you that Atleti v Barca is the main match of this gameweek. That still stands but worry not Premier League fans, the world’s most entertaining league has you covered with two belters. The better news is that one is on Saturday and the other on Sunday night!

Saturday: Spurs v Man City

It’s Jose v Pep, what more could we want on a Saturday evening? We’ve already discussed the fact that Mourinho is building a potentially title-winning side; that he comes up against an old El Clasico foe in Pep Guardiola makes this clash even tastier.

And what’s happening at Manchester City? They are more inconsistent than a kid learning to ride a bicycle. Their last five league games read: D W D W D. In that time Spurs also went unbeaten but managed four wins!

Mourinho v Guardiola is a rivalry we love. La Liga peaked with them in charge of El Clasicos, and when they were both in Manchester it was a weekly soap opera. They have completely different styles of play, but to be fair to them, both are highly effective.

They’ve both won two Champions League titles and eight domestic league titles, which is incredible. Mourinho is one trophy shy of Pep’s impressive haul of 29, and you get the feeling this year he can guide Spurs to a trophy.

The early assumption is that this season Man City will go all out to win the coveted Champions League – a trophy they are yet to add to their cabinet. Spurs crave a trophy of any shape, form or size, but the Premier League is always the summit.

Kane and Son have been on fire for Tottenham with Son leading the goal scoring charts for the league. Kane is just one behind him and we enjoy seeing Premier League partnerships up front!

You can never write off Man City as even if they are inconsistent, they have only been defeated one time in all competitions. Post lockdown football has been fast and furious, and we hope this game will be as open as ever.

We’d love to see both teams to score, priced at 11/20 or 1.55 and you can also get a Spurs victory at 16/5 or 4.2

Sunday: Liverpool v Leicester

A Premier League game on a Sunday night is the perfect way to end the weekend. This clash is one of the Champions against the pretenders. Leicester have impressed us and Brendan Rodgers is finally getting the praise he deserves from pundits. They have won their last three games and a win against Liverpool would be the perfect platform to mount their title challenge.

Liverpool’s luck this season has been rotten. With an injury list longer than a kid’s letter to Santa we’d imagine sticking Firmino at center-back is Klopp’s only option. Yet, despite all that, Liverpool have been brilliant! They are one point behind Leicester and were unlucky to draw against Man City before the international break (one which saw Joe Gomez potentially ruled out for the season too!)

How they are still managing to grind out results is beyond us, but that is the magic of Jurgen Klopp. He threw a curveball by starting Salah, Mane, Firmino AND Jota and you just don’t know what he’s going to come up with next.

Leicester have a huge opportunity to flex their muscles here, but we feel Klopp’s wit will see the Reds through.

Bet on Liverpool to win at 19/20 or 1.95
