Source and methodology: We asked 2000 people in key demographics within the UK which European country they thought were home to the friendliest people, and why. The demographics were sampled to meet quotas representative of the 2011 UK Census data. The results were then weighted to reflect the demographics of the UK population according to 2011 Census data.
