Kick-off the new Premier League season betting on our new sportsbook

September 12th is the day we’ve all marked down in our calendar, as the lion is set to roar again with the start of the Premier League 2020/21 campaign – and we can’t wait for kick-off! It was the shortest of breaks possible and we’re grateful football will be played!

Right, a healthy dose of PR out of way, and back on track for the new season. Fans in Liverpool might still be basking in the glory of victory, with rumored fireworks still firing away from the epic celebrations. What a crazy season indeed for Klopp’s men, who took the league by storm and secured the earliest title victory in Premier League history. Even in defeat, they wowed us, with their first loss coming late in February when they fell 3-0 to Watford in a game where the victors only had 30% possession…

Liverpool ran away with the title, as for Watford – see you in the Championship. Three managers binned and a Premier League dream ruined. Norwich and Bournemouth joined them through the trap door and here’s a curious fact: the same trio got promoted back in 2014-15. Forever friends!

Naturally, and rightly so, Liverpool are already the bookies’ favorites for the title this season. And getting in early on the odds at Casumo is always a good shout on the outright betting market.

The Premier League was so wild last season. Liverpool’s goals per game ratio paled in comparison to runners-up Manchester City’s. They helped themselves to an average of 2.9 goals per game, bagging 102 goals in total. Liverpool averaged 2.2 goals per game, however while City couldn’t resist destroying teams, they fell heavily in crucial games, allowing Liverpool’s massive breakaway.

New Premier League arrivals

Replacing Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford are Leeds United, West Brom and Fulham – and frankly, we can’t wait for this trio of arrivals. Leeds, as you may well have heard by now have been absent for 16 seasons. They have finally marched to the promised land and vow to impress with such a detailed tactician in their manager Marcelo Bielsa. A familiar face rejoins the pack as manager Slaven Bilic helms West Brom. Fulham bounced back to the Premier League after a year in the Championship and we can expect anything from them, as manager Scott Parker has drilled his team well and they pack a punch going forward. Alexandar Mitrović, who Newcastle United fans will remember fondly after his time up north, ended the Championship as Top Scorer with 26 goals, and he is a strong target man mainly playing deep in opposition boxes, so defences take the warning!

Keep your eyes on…

Burnley, Wolves, Sheffield United and Leicester are worth bookmarking for the new season, as they continue to impress and  are all chasing European football.  With Leicester in the Europa League, we can hope to see Brendan Rodgers enjoy a fruitful campaign in a league they should feel comfortable in. Their season unraveled after the restart which was a pity, given their pre-pause form and position.

Hope to see more from…

We’d hope to see more from underachievers Everton and West Ham, as they were frankly both boring, dull and, at times, painful to watch (sorry, not sorry!) and you can already get good odds for West Ham to be relegated next season. It’s been a patchy couple of seasons at the London Stadium and manager David Moyes hardly fills anyone with hope these days. Aston Villa, Brighton and Newcastle United, yet again, will do well to avoid the drop, particularly since the Toon have not yet sorted out their off-field affairs with another take over bid scuttled. You always get a feeling of a sinking giant up north, which is not a reputation the loyal fans are proud of.

The drama begins on September 12th, so dust off your tv set, find that remote control, and sink into your sofas, as the show we love begins. This will be a giant year for football with Euro 2021 and the Olympics also on the horizon, so get comfy, strap in and enjoy the ride!
