Real Madrid v Inter: three points are not enough!

Real Madrid hit four past Huesca on Saturday and you could feel the relief after the final whistle. Eden Hazard scored and a Benzema brace made Madrid look Rolls Royce again. 

You’re right in thinking it’s only Huesca, but you’ve got to go wild against the whipping boys. Wins like those work miracles on confidence and help players gel even more. Fitness levels are improving at Real and seeing Hazard back is a joy for the Madridistas. He’ll feel like the new signing they never made this summer.

Get Hazard to score first v Inter at 6/1 or 7.00 

Real Madrid go into their Champions League clash against Inter on the back of two big wins in La Liga. Their domestic form is good, however with only one point from two matches in group B their European form needs improvement. Their opening week home defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk shocked us and left them in a vulnerable position for Tuesday’s tie against Inter.

Interestingly, Inter have also struggled for form in Europe. They also drew 2-2 against Monchengladbach and only managed one better than Real against Shakhtar. They have two points in a surprising Group B.

A weekend draw to Parma left Conte’s men in sixth place in the Serie A standings. Both teams will go at it tooth and nail as three points are potentially huge at this stage.

This match has a cup final feeling to it, given the awkward positions the teams find themselves in. Shakhtar take on Monchengladbach in the earlier kickoff, with Zidane and Conte both praying for a draw. They both play catch up and a draw suits neither Inter or Real Madrid on Tuesday night. 

 

Wednesdays winners

All eyes will be on Barcelona on Wednesday. They don’t look good at all. The defeat in El Clasico derailed them, their whole board has resigned and another weekend draw gave them the blues. Dynamo Kyiv head to Barcelona with their noses up sniffing a chance to win.

The only problem is that in Europe Barcelona has been perfect. Two wins registered, which includes a very impressive display against Juventus. Kyiv might beat their chests on Wednesday, but Messi’s Champions League craving will be enough for the Catalans. 

Get Messi to score at least two goals at 41/20 or 3.05

Jeykll and Hyde United

Manchester United have been dreadful in the Premier League but brilliant in the Champions League. It’s been a Jeykll and Hyde story for the Red Devils and you never know which one will show up. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s diamond shined against Leipzig but cracked against Arsenal. It was indeed dismissed in half time, so we wonder what formation Ole will go for against Istanbul Basaksahir, who are yet to score a point or goal in Europe. 

By hook or by crook, United should take three points which will serve to ease the mounting pressure on their manager. Fans crave a good performance and being the away team has suited United, who seem too slow and sluggish when playing at an empty Old Trafford.
