Chelsea vs Leicester – English Premier League Betting Tips

Leicester City will face Chelsea in the match week 12 of the English Premier League 2021-22 season at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. 

Both teams will be coming in this fixture knowing fully well the importance of getting a positive result in a clash of the sides placed in the top half of the points table. 

Both teams have competed in 30 matches in the history of Premier League where the Blues have a clear advantage with 15 wins compared to the Foxes’ six victories whereas nine matches ended in a stalemate.

Leicester City will be coming in this fixture slightly low on confidence after managing to register just two wins in the last five league matches which included two draws as well which left them in the 12th position with 15 points, seven behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Therefore, it is pivotal for the Foxes to produce a positive result to stay in the race for a finish in the top four.

Their job is unlikely to get easier because they will be facing the most in-form teams in the competition.

The positive news for Leicester is that star midfielder Youri Tielemans, who suffered a calf injury in the match against Leeds United, is expected to be available to take part in Saturday’s fixture.

Other than him, veteran winger Marc Albrighton who was also suffering from a leg injury is also expected to take part in the match against Chelsea.

However, star defenders James Justin and Wesley Fofana will not be available for selection.

Chelsea will be coming into the match against Leicester City with high confidence as they are currently placed on top of the league table with 26 points after 11 matches, three ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

The Blues are on a bit of a role after winning four out of the last five league matches with just one draw and manager Thomas Tuchle will be hoping to see the players continue producing similar kinds of performances.

However, their job might not be as simpler, largely because of an injury crisis in the attacking department where Timo Werner is set to miss the clash whereas it is uncertain whether star striker Romelu Lukaku will take part in the match even though he has joined the training.

Mateo Kovacic is also expected to miss the clash but attacking midfielders Kai Havertz and Mason Mount are likely to take part in the match against the Foxes.
