Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans Qualifier – PSL Betting Tips

Table-toppers Islamabad United and Multan Sultans will battle it out for a place in the finals in the Qualifier game of the 2021 Pakistan Super League played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Two-time PSL Champions Islamabad United will start the game as overwhelming favorites to win this knockout game. Shadab Khan-led unit have raised their game in this second phase of PSL and register five matches on the bounce

On the other hand, Multan Sultans suffered a comfortable defeat at the hands of Islamabad United. The big concern for Sultans will be the lack of runs from the middle-order trio of Rilee Rossouw, Johnson Charles, and Khushdil Shah. The team management will be hoping that Sultans can deliver a clinical performance with bat and ball in this knockout match.

In the round-robin matches played between the two teams, Islamabad United have come out on top on both the occasions.

Islamabad United

Islamabad United has been the best team so far in this second phase of PSL 2021. The batting looks good with Usman Khuwaja, Colin Munro, Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali all scoring big runs and giving match-winning performances in the tournament – they have all aggregated more than 800 runs and have four fifties amongst them in PSL 2021. New Zealand opener Colin Munro has a strike rate of 174.28 in the competition so far this season.

Islamabad has the most disciplined bowling unit in the tournament. Pacer Hasan Ali, after a slow start, is now the leading wicket-taker for the franchise with 12 wickets in 8 matches. He has also been very restrictive conceding just under 6.28 runs per over so far this season.

Mohammad Wasim Jr. has brought in variety and been a match-winner on his own with the ball – the medium-pacer has picked 7 wickets at a strike rate of 24.8. The leg spinner, Shadab Khan has continued to impress in this second phase of PSL 2021. The 22-year-old has picked six wickets and been quite economical giving away just 7.92 runs per over so far this season.

Multan Sultans

Multan Sultans have shown excellent form in the UAE leg of PSL to qualify for the finals of the competition. After losing four matches in the initial stages played in Pakistan, Multan Sultans have made a strong comeback in the UAE leg of PSL and won four of their last five matches.

The form of Rilee Rossouw remains a big concern – after starting the tournament with a few match-winning performances, he has now scored only 33 runs in the previous four matches played in the tournament.

Sultans would have breathed a sigh of relief as their star player Shan Masood after a sudden dip in form, was back amongst the runs with a fifty against Islamabad United.

Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan is the second-highest run-getter of PSL 2021 with 470 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 131.28.

The bowling attack will be led by rookie pacer Shahnawaz Dhani- the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 20 wickets. His fellow pacer, Imran Khan has been very impressive too and intimidated the batsmen with his pace and accuracy. Leg-spinner Imran Khan has done a great restrictive job in the middle overs and has an economy rate of just 6.35 in the tournament.
