Roma topped the group in the league stages of the Europa League this season with as many as four wins from the six games played. They were part of Group A and secured 13 points to qualify for the next round. It was a landslide victory considering they won across the two legs by margins greater than two goals at least. In the quarterfinals first leg fixture at home though, they found a Roma side which were hard to break open and consequently ended up losing the tie 2-1 also conceding a two-goal cushion going into the flag end of the tie. Ajax needs to bring their A-Game on Friday in order to have a sniff and in turn make a comeback out of that.

Erik ten Hag has been quite splendid with his tactics all through the season. The likes of Tadic, Haller and Antony have all reveled under the manager. Scherpen has also been sharp with his reflexes. The dominance shown by Ajax in the league is a clear indicator of the potential the Dutch team possesses. They went down in the first leg but they are expected to make a comeback in the second leg and that statement also comes from the fact that Roma have been quite inconsistent in this season following up a win with a draw or defeat mostly. Not a lot of goals expected but a great game can be anticipated.

Ajax were in brilliant form going into the first leg fixture which happened last week, but consequently, they ended up losing the game by 2-1. But considering that as a one-off game, Ajax has all potential to come back stronger in the second leg fixture on Friday.
