In reply, Captain Alex Carey and Jake Weatherald produced crucial half-centuries to see Strikers register a comfortable win. Despite a late stutter at the end, Strikers put in convincing performance after losing their opening fixture against Hurricanes.

With Jake Weatherald and Alex Carey finding form with the bat against Hurricanes, the side will be looking to continue their winning ways against Sydney Sixers.
