West Indies vs Australia – 3rd ODI Betting Tips

Host West Indies and Australia will face off in the third and final ODI of the series on Monday at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados.

Kieron Pollard and co. managed to register a hard-fought win over West Indies in the second game of the series. With this result, West Indies managed to level the three-match series.

In the absence of Aaron Finch, Australia will take heart from the fact they put in another commendable effort with ball in the 2nd game of the one-day series. Interim captain Alex Carey will be hoping that the side can learn from their mistakes and produce their best cricket in this series finale.

West Indies Form and Team news:

The home team registered a much-needed win over Australia at Barbados, courtesy excellent performances from Akeal Hosein, Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder.

The home team management might make one change to their playing XI for this game. Shimron Hetymer might come in place of Darren Bravo, who perished for a duck in the previous fixture.

Therefore, the management will be banking on the likes of openers Shai Hope, Evin Lewis, the middle duo of Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard to help West Indies post a modest score on the board.

Chasing 188 runs, Shai Hope played well and chipped in with 38 runs off 43 balls with the help of six boundaries.

Nicholas Pooran continued his excellent form with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of 59 not out off 75 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. He was well supported by Jason Holder, who notched up a crucial half-century with the help of five fours and one six.

On the bowling front, the side will be relying heavily on the pace trio of Sheldon Cottrell, Alzarri Joseph and Jason Holder to produce timely breakthroughs. In the 2nd ODI, Akeal Hosein dismissed players like Moises Henriques, Alex Carey and Ashton Turner.

Australia Form and Team News:

After suffering defeat on Sunday, the chances are that the team management might make one or two changes for the series decider.

In the batting department, the onus will be on the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Josh Philippe, Alex Carey and Matthew Wade to deliver the bulk of the runs.

On the bowling front, a change might be on the cards where experienced pacer Josh Hazlewood might replace Riley Meredith, who hasn’t bowled well in the first two matches.

The team management will be hoping that the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa will be able to produce timely breakthroughs.

Our Tipsters Angle

The limited-overs series has been closely contested with one with both sides winning one game apiece.

Host West Indies will have an edge in this series decider as they are playing in their home conditions. Kieron Pollard and co. will certainly be looking to put in a dominant performance in this final game.

However, Australia will have to bat exceedingly well to overcome West Indies in the series decider.

The prediction is for West Indies to beat Australia and seal the ODI series.

Tip 1- Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran will take heart from the fact that he put in excellent performance with the bat to help West Indies level the three-match ODI series. Since August 2019, Pooran has accumulated 293 runs in 11 innings at an average of 48.83 with two half-centuries to his name.

Given his splendid half-century in the previous game, so we are expecting Nicholas Pooran to score 30 runs or [email protected].

Tip 2- Alzarri Joseph to continue his good form

The right-arm quick has been standout bowler for West Indies in limited-overs cricket. Since August 2019, Alzarri Joseph has been leading wicket-taker for the side in one-day internationals.
