Zimbabwe Form and Team news:

On the bowling front, the team will be relying on the pace duo of Blessing Muzarabani and Donald Tiripano to provide crucial breakthroughs in this contest.

Carl Mumba and Wesley Madhevere are other prominent bowling options for Zimbabwe for this series opener against Bangladesh.

Our Tipster’s Angle

Earlier this year, Bangladesh managed to beat Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series by a margin of 2-1. Tamim Iqbal will be hoping that the side can continue their good form in this limited-over series. With likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraaz and Mustafizur Rahman in the squad, the visitors will be confident of doing well against Zimbabwe.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe lacks experience in the batting and bowling department in the 50-over format. The hosts will have to play exceptional cricket to challenge Bangladesh in this three-match series.

Therefore, our prediction is for Bangladesh to register a comfortable win over Zimbabwe in the series opener.

Tip 1: Liton Das’s decent limited-overs record against Bangladesh.

Opener Liton Das has struggled to make scores for Bangladesh in limited-overs cricket this season. In eight matches played so far, Liton Das has scored 101 runs at an average of 12.62.

Wicket-keeper batsman will heart from the fact that he holds an excellent record against Zimbabwe in the 50-over format. In nine one-day matches, Liton Das has accumulated 422 runs at an average of 52.75 with two centuries and one half-century to his name.

Given his decent limited-overs record against Zimbabwe, we are expecting opener Liton Das to score 35 runs or [email protected].

Tip 2: Mohammad Saifuddin’s consistency in white-ball cricket.

After doing well for Bangladesh in the white-ball cricket for past 12 months, medium pacer will be looking to continue his good form with the ball in this three-match ODI series.

Since August 2019, Mohammad Saifuddin has put in impressive performances for Bangladesh in limited-overs cricket. The 24-year old has claimed 12 wickets in six matches at an average of 17.16. Given his decent numbers for Bangladesh, we are expecting Mohammad Saifuddin to pick one wicket or [email protected].

Conclusion

Expect Bangladesh to register a comfortable win over Zimbabwe in the series opener at Harare.

  1. Liton Das to score 35 runs or more- [email protected]
  2. Mohammad Saifuddin to pick one wicket or more- [email protected]
