Francesco Postiglione (CEO) on leadership, responsibility and finding clarity
Born and raised in Naples, travelling across Europe since 2015, and the proud owner of a black labrador called Zapp, Francesco Postiglione joined Casumo as CEO with a clear, grounded view of leadership.
And yes, his grandfather once treated Diego Maradona.
“My grandfather was a doctor,” Francesco says. “As a thank you, Maradona gave him a signed jersey, it’s now framed in my youngest son’s bedroom.”
Leadership as service
For Francesco, being CEO isn’t about hierarchy.
“My main responsibility is to serve others,” he explains. “The higher you climb, the more you owe to the people around you. Being CEO is like being the mayor of a city – you’re there to listen, support, and make sure people have what they need to succeed.”
He’s direct about accountability too:
“If things go wrong, there’s no one else to blame but yourself.”
A culture worth defining
Asked about Casumo so far, Francesco is clear on what stands out.
“The brand is strong. The talent is here. My role is to create the right conditions and provide the proper tools so people can do their best work.”
But he also sees an opportunity:
“I think consistency is what we’re missing. Who exactly is Casumo? What is our promise? Once we align our strategy with our product, our culture and identity will become much clearer.”
Looking ahead
Francesco believes the work ahead is ambitious, but achievable.
“We should be able to get there. It will take focus, clarity, and hard work.”
Quick-fire favourites
Coffee order: “Short and bitter.”
Go-to meal: “Beef fillet with fresh mushrooms.”
Must watch: “Blade Runner and Interstellar.”
