A triple treat in the Premier League this weekend

The battle for fourth as Leicester face Liverpool

Liverpool have been dubbed as terrible Champions, much to Roy Keane’s delight on Sky Sports. Their form is off, an injury list longer than Tom Brady’s list of achievements in the NFL and individual errors from players you would have let guard your own house.

We’re talking about Alisson Becker’s calamities against Manchester City, Trent Alexander Arnold’s disappearing act and the fact that Thiago Alcantara is playing a totally different game to Liverpool’s. Worryingly too, Klopp seems to want to keep him in the starting lineup, when it’s hard to see his impact. In 12 games played, he’s contributed to zero goals and Liverpool have only won four times. Now now, let’s not write off his whole Liverpool career just yet, but let’s be realistic: he needs minutes, he needs to adjust to the team and yes, the team will need to adjust to their marquee signing too. Winning the Bundesliga with Bayern can be done blindfolded, but he is also a Champions League winner, so we’re going to see good things, soon. Hopefully.

Leicester are just lovely again, aren’t they? Inconsistent, entertaining, unpredictable but showing up in the big games. And this is still a big game. In fact this is huge. Klopp’s admission that the top four is the goal, and ridiculous as this may sound, they need to fight for that too.

The spanner in the works for Brendan Rodger’s men is that Leicester have not won in their last three games against Liverpool. But what better time to face Liverpool? Two more back to back defeats with five goals conceded.Curiously Liverpool have drawn 7 Premier League games this season, the highest in the top 14! With that we’re backing a draw here at 13/5 or 3.6 at Casumo.

Get both teams to score too, because at the moment that Liverpool defense is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle! 13/25 or 1.52.

Move over Jose, let Guardiola run the show Manchester City v Tottenham

Yes, we’re done bashing Liverpool, so let’s turn to Spurs who have just turned into a typical Mourinho side, and not his good side either!

Guardiola is the antithesis of Jose and we’re happy to predict City taking the three points in this one simply due to the fact that we crave good football and do not fancy seeing more busses parked.

Manchester City have just turned up the style and their 4-1 win at Anfield was unique. No one goes there with such dominance and they made it look so easy too.

Get this now… City have not lost in their last 21 games and even though Mourinho would love to stop that run, Spurs simply do not have the arsenal to do so. There’s more. At home they have not lost in their last 14 games, so Fortress Etihad is real. Spurs have not defeated City there in their last five attempts so the stats really do favour a City cruise. City’s winning streak is now at 14, yes 14… which is the longest streak in Pep’s whole career.

Good news for Spurs fans though, Harry Kane is back with a bang, and with him on the field there is at least a little hope. You can get him to score the game’s first goal at 8/1 or 9.00 and City to win at 1/3 or 1.33

A goal glut for Arsenal v Leeds

This one has us licking our lips. Arsenal are Arsenal this season, while Leeds just love to play a wild brand of football that entertains and leaves us viewers purring. This is now strictly speaking a mid table clash and Leeds have outscored Arsenal this season by 11 goals.

Let’s see more goals in this clash. The promise is there. Arsenal’s defending is always questionable while no one can question Marcelo Bielsa’s intent. Get over 3.5 goals here at 6/4 or 2.5.
