Champions League: All English sides to win!

More of our players will be dashing around the continent as the football calendar flies forward towards another crucial Champions League week. Gameweek 4 gets underway on Tuesday and we feel it may be a treat for the English clubs.

Chelsea’s closed doors

The first game is Rennes v Chelsea, Tuesday’s earlier kick off. Frankly, we can’t see past a win for Lampard’s men as they’ve been on a consistent run. They bullied Rennes in the reverse fixture two weeks ago and have only lost ONE of their last 12 fixtures. That defeat was by a penalty shootout and there’s a very settled feeling in and around the club these days.

The most satisfying of Chelsea’s stats is that they are yet to concede a single goal in Europe this season. Rennes won’t trouble them much so we’re going for Chelsea to win to nil at 2.95 or 1.95/1

A good result can lift United

Manchester United have been shocking. The 1-0 win over West Brom hardly won us over, but their defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir in the first round was terrible. School boy defending was on show, there was no urgency, no style and no hope.

You get the feeling Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the ropes and he’s one punch away from a knockout. Pochettino is casting flirtatious eyes at the club, but we feel the Red Devils will pull a rabbit out of the hat and beat Istanbul. They attacked West Brom well enough on Saturday night, and a similar edge up front would surely get them over the line against Istanbul. Defense is always their main concern and if Istanbul do score first, United are in trouble.

A 1-0 scoreline is yours at 8.00 or 7/1.

Wednesday wins for City and Liverpool

The TV schedule this week pleased Premier League fans:

  • Tuesday 18:55 CET – Rennes v Chelsea
  • Tuesday 21:00 CET – Manchester United v Istanbul Basaksehir
  • Wednesday 18:55 CET – Olympiacos v Manchester City
  • Wednesday 21:00 CET – Liverpool v Atalanta

You won’t miss a kick as the games don’t overlap!

Wednesday night should see more English goals than Tuesday, with City and Liverpool tipped for big wins.

Manchester City penned Guardiola down to a further two years at the club and you know there’s one trophy missing on the shelf: the Champions League.

They’ll beat Olympiacos easily and because we love sequences, we’re tipping them to score over 2.5 goals. Afterall, they have scored three in each of their three Champions League games so far, so why not back them at 2.8 or 1.8/1 for 2.5 over goals again!

We’ve ran out of superlatives for Liverpool this season. They have it all, despite having a squad plagued by injuries . Mo Salah is primed to return following the provision of a negative Covid 19 test and they’ll run riot against an Atalanta side who weren’t up to the hype last time.

The 5-0 defeat flattened the Italian side who were being billed as dark horses. They haven’t won since that defeat, managing two draws in Serie A. Meanwhile, the Reds overhauled Leicester and made it look too easy on Sunday night. Liverpool will cruise again and it’s impossible to see where Klopp’s juggernaut will come to a halt this season.

Over 4.5 goals here is priced at 3.45 or 2.45/1

Why not get them all in an accumulator? All English sides to win BOOSTED to 5.00!
