In the spotlight: CasinoTwitcher

And then there was CasinoTwitcher. This 32-year-old Norwegian gaming enthusiast is one of our most loved players with his phenomenal twitch channel. Since he started last summer, he’s had for instance a 24-hour casino special where he played a full day without rest. I’ve been gambling since I was a child. Back then, in the late 80s, we had these games called payazzos in Norway I liked to play. Then a new decade of more advanced electronic reel based slots started in the 90s and suddenly there were slots everywhere. I made my first online bet in 2001 and ever since I’ve been gambling online.

 

How did you become a CasinoTwitcher?

I heard about Twitch for the first time in summer 2015. It was an interesting concept: people watching other “ordinary” people just doing what they normally do. There wasn’t much action in the “Blackjack” category that time so I decided to give it a go. I had my first stream July 14th and got my first followers right away.

Since then I’ve streamed a lot, close to 700 hours. The viewer base has been growing rapidly. Since the start, over 2.600 people have followed my channel. The amount of site views has exceeded 50.000. A normal stream has around 150 – 250 viewers all stream long. My Youtube channel has almost 1000 followers and my 103 videos have over 130.000 views.

Wow. Tell us something about the most memorable twitching moments.

I have plenty, but I’ll tell you the most memorable one. I made a little prank for the viewers. I said I need to take a toilet break. And as usual, I left the slot spinning, my webcam on and left the room. Without anyone noticing, I crawled back quietly on the floor and started to open and close one of my closet doors, visible for the viewers. The chat went crazy. I acted like nothing had happened but the rest of the night everyone was trying to convince me there must be a ghost in my closet or something. People were still talking about it the day after. Then I finally told them what had happened. Here’s a short video of the incident.
