With Euro 2020 almost here fantasy managers all over the world will be scratching their heads getting their Dream Teams ready for the opening match on June 11th. Big decisions, high profile casualties are all part and parcel of management so this is always a fun period. To aid you with your team, bookmaker Casumo have run a supercomputer simulation of the tournament to find the top performing players.

Goalkeeper – Gianluigi Donnarumma

It looks set to be a massive summer for Gianluigi Donnarumma, and he’s expected to step up at the Euros. Donnarumma’s points will rack up in the group stage as he looks set to keep clean sheets against Wales, Switzerland and Turkey before conceding just once en route to the final — where Italy will lose to France on penalties.

Centre-backs – Benjamin Pavard and Raphaël Varane

With the supercomputer also tipping France to go all the way this year, Benjamin Pavard and Raphaël Varane make for good picks as your centre-back partners. Les Bleus have been pitted in the group of death together with Germany and defending champions Portugal. However, we see that they will progress relatively unscathed and not needing to worry about changing your central defenders throughout the course of the tournament is always handy.

Midfield – Nicolò Barella

Nicolò Barella is another Italian to feature in our squad. He’s impressed at Inter as they marched to their first scudetto in 10 years, and he’ll be riding the crest of a wave at the Euros. The 24-year-old will be a staple in Mancini’s side and is set to boss the midfield as they progress all the way to the final.

Attack – Wout Weghorst

Netherlands’ striker Wout Weghorst seems like an unlikely choice. He has however been on fire for Wolfsburg and with a group consisting of Austria, North Macedonia and Ukraine, the supercomputer is predicting him to score a hatful of goals at the Euros. He’s nowpriced at 30/1 in the top scorer odds Euro 2020, but we wouldn’t rule him out of the Golden Boot race just yet.
