A second start for Reading
After just one win and four defeats before the international break, it’s fair to say that Reading needed some time to regroup and refocus. The transfer window also finally shut, and prior to closing, Reading managed to squeeze a healthy amount of new signings through the door.
The transfer embargo was a heavy blow for the club, but good business was conducted with the following arrivals:
- Danny Drinkwater
- Scott Dann
- Baba Rahman
- Alen Halilovic
- Junior Bennett
- Tom Dele-Bashiru
These players all give Paunovic depth and a healthy amount of options to choose from, and reports are rife that the club are also trying to bring in former Newcastleand Liverpool forward Andy Carroll, who is still without a club.
The new signings will have used the international break to bed in and settle into their new environment, and with a huge game against QPR, training sessions will have been revved up to put them through their paces.
QPR have been in scintillating form. They have no defeats to their name and are up in third spot. Last season QPR failed to beat Reading and having the fans back at home will help the Royals greatly.
These fans might witness a debutant and glimpses into what Paunovic is looking to build this season. Last year’s home match ended 1-1, a result which would be deemed as positive this season too.
The correct score of Reading 1-1 QPR is priced at 27/5 or 6.4
