Bayern Munich given positive Manuel Neuer injury update

Manuel Neuer could return to the fold for Bayern Munich after sitting out the past three matches for Bayern following knee surgery. Speaking about Neuer’s impending return, Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann said: “It’s a very good thing that we’ll be able to count on Manu again as soon as possible.” Neuer will get the skipper’s armband after Lewandowski stood in as captain against Frankfurt.

Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen always makes for interesting viewing, and there are usually plenty of goals. Freiburg are currently level on points with Leipzig, and they are in fifth spot, with only goal difference keeping Leipzig in the top four. And they will be happy with their recent form, as they have lost just one of their past five Bundesliga matches.

RB Leipzig v SC Freiburg: Unlocking the vault on past clashes

We could be in for a cracker at the weekend, and as the table seems to suggest, there isn’t much separating the two sides. Both teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw as Jimmy Woo-Yeong cancelled out Emil Forsberg’s opener from the spot for Leipzig.

It may therefore be hard picking up a winner. We know about the threat that Leipzig possesses through Nkunku and Forsberg, and Freiburg may well have to soak up a lot of pressure. It seems quite hard picking a winner for this one, so a draw seems a safer prediction!
