The Newest Slot in the Reactoonz Series Promises Mega Fun
Gigantoonz, the latest addition to the wildly popular Reactoonz family of games from Play n’ Go, has Gargantoon, the leader of the Reactoonz — “Garga” as he’s known to his fans — playing an even more gargantuan role. The new slot promises a mix of favourite features from the previous games in the series: Reactoonz, Reactoonz 2 and Dr Toonz.
Gigantoonz is a slightly simpler slot than the first sequel Reactoonz 2, with fun and straightforward gameplay for fans of the Reactoonz fam.
Gigantoonz Basics: the Bigger the Better
Gigantoonz will feature an 8×8 grid similar to the 7×7 grid in Reactoonz and Reactoonz 2. Players land six matching symbols on the grid to form winning clusters that cascade to make room for new symbols as long as the wins continue.
Right away, you’ll notice that some symbols are bigger than others. While in previous games only wilds like Gargantoon could take up more than one place on the grid, Gigantoonz features mega symbols that cover whole chunks of the grid for extra-giant clusters.
Garga and the rest of the Gigantoonz crew
The symbols in this new slot take the form of the same cute alien characters as in previous Reactoonz slots. The one-eyed characters have lower values; the aliens with two eyes pay out more, up to 1,250x for a cluster of 30 or more.
Mega symbols appear taking up 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, 6×6, or 7×7 places on the grid, assigned a random cluster value from 1 to 13.

Gigantoonz Bonus Features
5-10 Quantum Wilds — they look like brightly-lit balls of pure energy — hit the reels after a non-winning spin.
To the right of the grid you’ll find what’s called the Quantumeter, which Reactoonz fans will recognize from the second and third slots in the series. Each winning symbol increases its charge by one, and Mega Symbols increase the charge by their randomly-assigned cluster value.
The metre goes up to 100 and triggers four special features as you win:
25 charges: Disintegration – remove four types of symbols chosen at random. The idea here is to increase the saturation of one particular type of symbol and win larger clusters.
50 charges: Metamorphosis – randomly transform one type of symbol, including megas, into a different symbol to potentially increase your number of matches.
75 charges: Radiation – add up to four mega symbols and several Quantum Wilds in random positions on the grid.
The Garga modifier
100 charges triggers the Gargantoonz modifier, which is broken down into two thrilling phases:
First, all symbols that are already Mega turn into Mega Gargantoonz for a minimum of at least three Mega Gargantoonz. A few normal-sized Gargantoonz are also added in for good measure. Mega Gargantoonz are sticky; they don’t cascade away with wins but rather stay on the grid during this phase.
Second, Mega Gargantoonz symbols break down into normal-sized Gargantoonz as play continues.
The Reactoonz Slot Series
A quick refresher course on the first three Reactoonz games:
Reactoonz: the OG
The first in the series, Reactoonz was released in 2017 and quickly became one of Play’n Go’s most popular slots. The symbols of the 7X7 grid slot were similar to the ones you see today in Gigantoonz.
The pink alien is worth the most, with five in a cluster paying out 750x your stake (the Cluster Pays Engine counts a win as long as five or more matching symbols are touching). Each win charges the five Quantum Leap Meters, triggering various Quantum Features. When all five meters are charged, Garga comes out, and that’s when the fun really begins!
Reactoonz 2: the high-octane sequel
Reactoonz 2 came along three years after the original Reactoonz to satiate the appetite of the many hungry Reactoonz fans. The second game in the series has the same basic foundation of the original, with a 7×7 grid populated by clusters of one and two-eyed aliens as well as, of course, Garga, who takes the form of a 3×3 wild and can bring potential wins of up to 3,000x.
Reactoonz 2 has a whole slough of additional features within features that take game play to the quantum level. The slot quickly got a reputation for being a more complex game for players who like a wide variety of bonus features.
Dr Toonz: crazy scientist and Reactoonz creator
In 2021, Play’n Go released the third slot game in the Reactoonz series. They decided to follow the successful sequel Reactoonz 2 with a prequel featuring the Dr Toonz character, the creator of the little alien beings. According to the game provider, Dr Toonz was once a highly respected scientist who fell from grace when he decided to investigate the creation of new forms of life.
The Dr Toonz slot is the only game in the series that isn’t a grid slot. Instead, it features dynamic payways with reels that look like bubbling test tubes full of Reactoonz. A new twist in the Reactoonz story, it’s sure to get fans thinking about these little aliens in a whole new way.
