Reading look to make the SCL a fortress

How good did that feel? Fans, goals, good football and three points at home! Reading v Preston pleased us immensely and perhaps most importantly provides a spring in their step as the Royals look to bounce into the Tuesday night game against Bristol.

We even had a first ever professional goal for Femi Azeez who was delighted after the win. “Scoring my first goal, at home, in front of our fans, is incredible!.” The home support echoed his joy and were extra jubilant when fan-favorite John Swift scored the winning goal.

The SCL under the lights for the first time this season will be a sight to behold. Visitors Bristol are yet to win this season, having drawn their first game before crashing to a 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough.

Indeed, Bristol have not won their last four games and Reading fans will remember they did the double over Bristol last season. Reading won 3-1 at home and managed a 2-0 victory away from home too. 

According to a beaming Paunovic, “the mentality was right, the attitude was right, the football was right. It was exactly what we needed to happen today.”

Keep up the attitude, and Reading will look good for three more points on Tuesday night. We’re backing the Royals to win with an exact scoreline of 2-0. This is priced up at 19/2 or 10.5.
