NFL 24/11/21 – 28/11/21: Colts and Bucs collide, Patriots face Titans

With Thanksgiving fast upon us, NFL fans will be looking to feast upon some brilliant games taking place this weekend. We will provide our thoughts on three crunch fixtures – Indianapolis Colts v Tampa Bay Bucs, Green Bay Packers v Los Angeles Rams, and New England Patriots v Tennessee Titans. We will also take a cursory glance at the latest match odds.

Tom Brady plays a starring role as Tampa Bay Bucs end mini wobble in style

For a side that harbours hopes of retaining the Super Bowl, there are always bound to be a few bumps in the road this season. After two successive defeats, the Bucs bounced back in fine fashion by thrashing the New York Giants 30-10. Tom Brady, unsurprisingly, was instrumental in the victory.

Brady passed for 307 yards, and he contributed two touchdowns. The Bucs were also lifted by the return of Ron Gronkowski, who came back after sitting out the last six games with a rib injury. He turned in a solid display, catching six passes for 71 yards, but for the Bucs, it will be nice to be back in the Win column.

Tom Brady’s Julian Edelman recruiting mission revealed

Earlier this week, it surfaced that Brady tried to bring Julian Edelman to the Bucs. Although Brady persuaded Gronkowski to come out of retirement, he was unable to convince Edelman to sign on the dotted line. Edelman – who spent 12 seasons with the Patriots – called time on his career in the 2021 offseason.

Indianapolis Colts hit their stride after routine win over Buffalo Bills

Although the Bucs are looking formidable at the top of the NFC South, the Colts will provide a stiff test. A 41-15 victory over the Bills last weekend took the Colts’ record to 6-5, and they sit in second spot in the AFC South. And with three wins on the spin, the Colts are firmly in the groove.

Green Bay Packers eye response after Minnesota Vikings defeat

With Aaron Rodgers at the top of his game, the Packers (8-3) will be desperate to bounce back when they take on fellow NFC heavyweights the Rams (7-3) at Lambeau Field on Sunday. However, the Packers need to get more points on the board in the game, although the likes of wide receiver Davante Adams have improved over the past few weeks.

Los Angeles Rams provide positive Justin Hollins update

The Rams have struggled defensively at times this season, and last week, they were picked apart by the San Francisco 49ers, as they slumped to a 31-10 defeat. In particular, when Justin Hollins succumbed to injury, it came as a massive blow to the Rams. Hollins, who was magnificent against the Chicago Bears earlier in the campaign, has been dealing with a pectoral muscle problem.

However, a return to action for Hollins has been earmarked by Rams coach Sean McVay. The Rams could have Hollins back in the team as soon as next week, but it will be interesting to see how the Rams manage their lineback roster, as they have serious strength in depth in that position.

Meanwhile, Odell Beckham Jr confirmed on Twitter will be picking up the entirety of his salary for this season in Bitcoin. The wide receiver – who had a disappointing debut with the Rams – announced he will also be doing a giveaway to thank fans. It’s not the first time that Beckham Jr has used digital assets, but cryptocurrencies are a whole new ball game!

Bill Belichick getting the most out of his New England Patriots charges

Under Bill Belichick, the Patriots have found their identity, and they will relish facing the Tennessee Titans. Sunday’s clash represents a meeting of two of the best sides in the AFC side of the NFL. The Patriots are top of the AFC East table with a 7-4 record, while the Titans have won 8 of their 11 matches this season.

However, the Titans were stunned by the Houston Texans last weekend, as they slumped to a 22-13 defeat. In the first two quarters, the Titans failed to score, and the Patriots – who have racked up five straight victories – have found a new way to win matches without a power running game.
