Reading making positive steps ahead of WBA clash
The point picked up against Hull really does not tell the full story. It was a brilliant game, played in front of a brilliant crowd which witnessed a sublime goal by Tom Holmes.
A superb moment by Tom Holmes which saw our Rainbow Nets bulge in the best manner possible, and had it not been for better refereeing decisions on the day, Reading would have taken all three points. Reading had stonewall penalty claims turned down and fans were left pondering what could have been.

The result was frustrating in the end, but the performance was so pleasing that it gives Reading more confidence ahead of an important away fixture.
Paunovic summarised the emotions: “I’m proud of my team. Even with the adversities we are dealing with, we carry on, we push forward, we believe in each other, we work hard.
“Today, decisions from the officials cost us two points. But all we can do is take the positives and refocus on the controllables.”
The positives get rolled forward to West Brom who have been brilliant this season. The Baggies are looking for a return to the Premier League and are currently behind Fulham and Bournemouth and third place.
Despite their rise, their recent form has dipped. They have won only one of their last five matches, which was their last outing against Coventry on Saturday.
They have scored only three goals within those five games, so Reading really have a good chance to impress against a top side. The Royals attacked well last weekend, and enjoyed 57% ball possession, and a repeat of that style would be a step in the right direction.
Last season Reading came away from the Hawthorns with a point after a hard fought 1-1 draw. A repeat result is priced at 7/1 here at Casumo, proud partners of Reading FC.
