West Indies vs Pakistan – 3rd T20I Betting Tips

Host West Indies will be looking to bounce back strongly when they face Pakistan in the third game at Providence Cricket Stadium in Guyana on Sunday.

West Indies will be looking to learn from their mistakes and bring their A-game to the table in a bid to level the T20I series. Captain Kieron Pollard will be hoping that they come up with better plans against Pakistani spinners.

On the other hand, Pakistan managed to eke out a close win over West Indies, courtesy splendid performances from Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Hafeez. With this result, Green Shirts have taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match T20I series.

West Indies Form and Team News:

West Indies will rue the fact that they should have won the previous game after restricting Pakistan to a modest score of 157 runs.

Romario Shepherd conceded a lot of runs and will be dropped from the playing XI. Left-arm pacer Obed McCoy will come into the final XI for this must-win game.

West Indies will be relying heavily on in-form opener Evin Lewis, the middle-order trio of Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetymer, and Nicholas Pooran to deliver the bulk of the runs.

In the previous game, wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran showed excellent form with the bat and finished the innings with the top score of 62 not out off 33 balls with the help of four fours and six sixes.

Besides Hetymer, the likes of Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetymer, and Chris Gayle produced scores of 33, 17, and 16 respectively.

In the bowling department, the side will be depending on the likes of Obed McCoy, Hayden Walsh Jr., and Jason Holder to pick up key wickets in this game.

Pacer Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers for West Indies in the 2nd T20I and claimed 4 for 26 in his four overs. Medium-pacer Dwayne Bravo had a strong outing with the ball for West Indies and finished with figures of 2 for 24 in his three overs.

Pakistan Form and Team News:

In the second game of the T20I series, Pakistan managed to post a decent score of 157 runs for the loss of eight wickets, courtesy excellent contributions from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

For the second T20I, Captain Babar Azam continued his purple patch with the bat against West Indies. He scored 51 runs off 40 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. He was well supported by Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 46 runs off 36 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes.

In the previous game, the middle-order once again capitulated badly in the later stages of the innings.

For this fixture, the team management will be hoping that the opening pair of Sharjeel Khan and Captain Babar Azam can get the side off to a decent start.

Part-time spinner Mohammad Hafeez was the standout bowler for Pakistan and claimed 1 for 6 in his four overs. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan failed to pick up a wicket but conceded 22 runs in four overs.

Given Shaheen Afridi’s poor form, Mohammad Hasnain could come into the playing XI for the third game of the series.

Our Tipster’s Angle

The home team suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the second game of the T20I series. With Obed McCoy expected to return to the playing XI, West Indies will be looking to deliver a clinical bowling performance against Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistan will be hoping that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan delivering excellent performances, the visitors will be looking to put in a disciplined performance in this fixture.

However, the prediction is for West Indies to beat Pakistan in the third game of the T20I series.

Tip 1: Pakistan to restrict West Indies to less than 150 runs

After Pakistani spinners putting on a chokehold on the West Indies batting lineup, the conditions will be no different in Guyana in this game as well. With likes of Mohammad Hafeez and Shadab Khan doing well in the previous game, we expect Pakistan to restrict West Indies to less than 150 [email protected]

Tip 2: Babar Azam to lead the charge for Pakistan with the bat

Captain Babar Azam led from the front with the bat in the second game of the T20I series played at Guyana. With two fifties in his last four T20I outings for Pakistan, Babar Azam is the in-form player for the side at present.

Given purple patch with the bat for Pakistan in this T20I format, we expect Babar Azam to score 20 runs or more in this [email protected].

Conclusion

Expect West Indies to beat Pakistan and level the four-match T20I series

  1. Pakistan to restrict West Indies to less than 150 runs- [email protected]
